In August 2015, our first son Mikki died in Zvezdana’s womb and was stillborn after 34 weeks of pregnancy. We were left devastated, empty handed and with lots of questions. What started off as a private quest of a grieving couple, ended up as an investigative journalism project that we were absorbed by for eight months - the same duration as the ill-fated pregnancy.
